About NAD+
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide consists of two nucleotides, one carrying adenine and the other nicotinamide, joined through their phosphate groups. In its oxidized form, NAD+, it accepts electrons in glycolysis, the TCA cycle and fatty-acid oxidation and is reduced to NADH, which feeds the mitochondrial electron transport chain.
Beyond redox chemistry, NAD+ is consumed as a substrate by sirtuin deacylases, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs) and CD38, which links cellular NAD+ levels to signaling, DNA repair and gene regulation.
Research context
NAD+ is used in enzymology, as a reagent in assays of NAD-dependent enzymes, and in studies of NAD+ metabolism, including how NAD+ levels change with cellular stress and age in preclinical models. Related work often involves the precursors nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN).
What to confirm for NAD+
Check these points with our team before you order:
- The vial amount; NAD+ is listed in quantities several times larger than typical peptide fills.
- The storage conditions stated on the lot documents.
- The number of boxes you need and the US delivery destination.
- Which lot documents you require before ordering, such as an identity or purity report.
NAD+: frequently asked questions
Is NAD+ a peptide?
No. NAD+ is a dinucleotide coenzyme. It is listed with peptides because it is used in the same metabolic and mitochondrial research areas.
Which NAD+ presentations are listed?
3 presentations are listed: 100 mg (NJ100), 500 mg (NJ500), 1,000 mg (NJ1000). Each is packed 10 vials per box, and every presentation has its own specification page and product code.
How do I request a quote for NAD+?
Open the presentation you need and use Ask price to message PureForm Biosciences on WhatsApp, or add several materials to the inquiry cart and send them together. Pricing, current availability and lot documents are confirmed in that conversation.
