About TB-500 (Thymosin β4)
Thymosin β4 is a 43-amino-acid, N-terminally acetylated peptide and one of the most abundant intracellular peptides in mammalian cells. Its best-known function is binding monomeric G-actin, which regulates the pool of actin available for filament assembly and, through it, cell migration.
The trade name TB-500 is used inconsistently: sometimes for full-length thymosin β4 and sometimes for the short acetylated fragment Ac-LKKTETQ (residues 17–23) that contains the actin-binding motif. The supplier lists this material as thymosin beta-4 acetate, and the short fragment is listed separately as TB Fragment.
Research context
Thymosin β4 is studied in research on actin dynamics, cell migration, angiogenesis and tissue repair in cardiac, corneal and dermal preclinical models.
Its N-terminal tetrapeptide, Ac-SDKP, released by prolyl oligopeptidase, is a research subject of its own in fibrosis models.
What to confirm for TB-500 (Thymosin β4)
Check these points with our team before you order:
- Whether the lot is full-length thymosin β4 (43 amino acids) or a fragment; the measured mass on the identity report distinguishes them.
- Whether you need TB-500 alone or a BPC-157 + TB-500 blend.
- The number of boxes you need and the US delivery destination.
- Which lot documents you require before ordering, such as an identity or purity report.
TB-500 (Thymosin β4): frequently asked questions
Is TB-500 the same as thymosin beta-4?
Sometimes. The name TB-500 is applied both to full-length thymosin β4 and to its seven-residue fragment Ac-LKKTETQ. This listing is described by the supplier as thymosin beta-4 acetate; the fragment is listed separately as TB Fragment.
Which TB-500 (Thymosin β4) presentations are listed?
3 presentations are listed: 2 mg (BT2), 5 mg (BT5), 10 mg (BT10). Each is packed 10 vials per box, and every presentation has its own specification page and product code.
How do I request a quote for TB-500 (Thymosin β4)?
Open the presentation you need and use Ask price to message PureForm Biosciences on WhatsApp, or add several materials to the inquiry cart and send them together. Pricing, current availability and lot documents are confirmed in that conversation.
