About BPC-157
BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide, Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val, corresponding to part of a larger protein described in human gastric juice and named “body protection compound”. The research peptide is fully synthetic.
Much of the published literature comes from a research group at the University of Zagreb, which reports that the peptide is unusually stable in gastric juice for a linear peptide. The free peptide and its acetate and arginate salts are all called BPC-157, so the salt form is worth confirming.
Research context
BPC-157 is studied in preclinical models of tissue injury and repair in tendon, ligament, muscle and gastrointestinal tissue, and in research on angiogenesis, nitric oxide signaling and growth-factor pathways such as VEGFR2 and FAK–paxillin.
Most published data come from rodent models, and independent replication is more limited than for long-established reference peptides.
What to confirm for BPC-157
Check these points with our team before you order:
- The salt form stated on the lot documents (acetate, arginate or free peptide), which affects the peptide content per vial.
- Whether you need BPC-157 alone or one of the BPC-157 blends, which are listed separately.
- The number of boxes you need and the US delivery destination.
- Which lot documents you require before ordering, such as an identity or purity report.
BPC-157: frequently asked questions
What does BPC stand for?
Body Protection Compound, the name given to the gastric juice protein from which the 15-amino-acid research sequence was derived.
How is BPC-157 different from TB-500?
They are unrelated molecules. BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid gastric-protein-derived peptide; TB-500 refers to thymosin beta-4 or its actin-binding fragment. They are often studied together in tissue-repair models, which is why blends of the two are listed.
Which BPC-157 presentations are listed?
3 presentations are listed: 2 mg (BC2), 5 mg (BC5), 10 mg (BC10). Each is packed 10 vials per box, and every presentation has its own specification page and product code.
How do I request a quote for BPC-157?
Open the presentation you need and use Ask price to message PureForm Biosciences on WhatsApp, or add several materials to the inquiry cart and send them together. Pricing, current availability and lot documents are confirmed in that conversation.
