About Dihexa
Dihexa was developed at Washington State University from angiotensin IV, a fragment of angiotensin II. Its structure, an N-hexanoyl group, tyrosine, isoleucine and a C-terminal aminohexanoic amide, makes it small and lipophilic compared with its parent peptide.
Its developers reported that it binds hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and promotes HGF dimerization, enhancing signaling through the c-Met receptor tyrosine kinase.
