About Pinealon
Pinealon is a three-amino-acid peptide, Glu-Asp-Arg, from the series of short regulatory peptides developed by Vladimir Khavinson's group at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It belongs to the same series as Epitalon, Cortagen and Cardiogen.
The Khavinson group proposes that such short peptides can enter cells and interact with DNA and histones to influence gene expression, a mechanism that remains under investigation.
