About Cagrilintide
Amylin is a 37-amino-acid peptide hormone released together with insulin by pancreatic beta cells. The native hormone is short-lived and prone to aggregation, which limits its value as a research tool. Cagrilintide is an engineered analogue with changes that reduce aggregation and a fatty-acid side chain that extends its half-life.
